How to Find Models for Your Teams
Hey folks, Adam here. We're glad to finally get MAJESTIC 13 into your hands. However, we know from experience that the first questions you'll have will be: what models would you suggest I get to play MAJESTIC 13?
The answer, as with all of our miniature-agnostic games, is that you should use whatever models you like to play with on your table. It's your game - do what makes you happy. That said, the models you use to represent your team members of MAJESTIC 13 can be any kind of modern military, near-future soldiers, or even some sci-fi troops. It's up to you, but here are a few examples to get you going in the right direction:
Purchased Miniatures
Wargames Atlantic Ooh Rah - These are what I used in the photos and videos I've taken. In my opinion, these models are nearly perfect for MAJESTIC 13 teams.
Anvil Industry - You can very easily build some figures that look like today's private military contractors (PMC) and give them modern looking or even sci-fi looking weapons with the Anvil Industry Regiments Squad Builder. Paint them dark gray or black and you'll be all set.
Stargrave models from North Star Military Figures - Many of the Stargrave model sets on this site will work great for MAJESTIC 13 teams, and they also have female models, too. These are fun models to build and paint.
Games Workshop Cadian Shock Troops - They're a little more sci-fi than you might want, but they're genrally easy to find in stores. If you paint them dark gray or black and shave off the Imperial eagles and such, they'll work great.
Black Site Studios - There’s a wide selection of resin miniatures depicting all kinds of characters here.
3D Printed Miniatures
MyMiniFactory - There are so many STLs out there, I generally start here first and do some searching before I look anywhere else. Do some searches for terms like ‘soldier’ and you’ll find tons of things to check out.
In my next blog post, we’ll talk about where to find hideous alien creature models for your missions. Happy modeling!
